The following is a list of volunteer opportunities for SAVMA members. You must acquire 10 volunteer points to be eligible for a STG Award. 

1. 1. Ongoing Qualifying Events:

• • • – Friday Fridge Cleanout = 5 pts per cleaning

1. 1. • – Cleaning the Rec Room (RSR) = 5 pts per cleaning
      • Leadership Positions per held position:
        1. – SAVMA Executive Committee Member = 10 pts per term of service
        2. – Chaired Executive Positions (i.e.; president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer) of other (Non-SAVMA) CVM organizations = 10 pts per term of service
        3. – Non-chaired Leadership positions (i.e.; wetlab/event coordinator, speaker coordinator, company representatives, etc.) of other (Non-SAVMA) CVM Organizations = 5 pts per term of service

   2. Fall Semester Qualifying Events:
      1. Incoming CVM Class Orientation:
         1. – Team leaders/facilitators = 10 pts for the entire orientation event
         2. – General volunteer = 5 pts per orientation event 
         3. – Student panel = 5 pts
      2. – White Coat Ceremony Volunteer = 5 pts
      3. – IVMA Silent Auction = 5 pts per shift
      4. – SAVMA / OTS Dog Wash = 5 pts per shift

   3. Spring Semester Qualifying Events:
      1. – MLK Day of Service = 5 pts.
      2. – SAVMA Scamper “Day-of” Volunteer = 5 pts.
      3. – SAVMA Scamper prep Volunteer = 5 pts.

2. Expiration of points: Points are valid for one year. (i.e., Points are valid for the semester in which they are earned and the semester immediately following.)
